Prayers

Welcome to the prayer page

This is a new page and still in the thinking and praying stage. I intend to write some prayer and post them here. It is a page for you to interact with as well.
If you would like me to pray for you leave me a comment or contact me through twitter. If you wish this to be anonymous please make this clear and I will not post your comment.

Psalm 61:1-4 (NIV)

Hear my cry, O God;
    listen to my prayer.

From the ends of the earth I call to you,
    I call as my heart grows faint;
    lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For you have been my refuge,
    a strong tower against the foe.

I long to dwell in your tent for ever
    and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.

Living God thank you that we can you come to you with all our worries and concerns. When we have no words to express how we feel help us to know that you are near. Help us to feel your tender touch. Remind us that you walk with us through the hard times as well as the good. Whether we are in the valley or on top of the mountain may we now your presence. Though we may weep in the night may we know your joy in the morning.

Psalm 30:5  (NIV)
For his anger lasts only a moment,
    but his favour lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
    but rejoicing comes in the morning.

Have you ever thought you want to pray but can't find the words? Sometimes I just want to say... Aaaaaaauuuuuuuugggggghhhhh!
God doesn't want superficial prayers but heart felt gut wrenching honest prayers. Sometime our prayer life becomes just so British. For those who aren't British I mean that they become very stiff upper lip with emotions in check. I wonder if suffering and pain teaches us to pray better? To get us to turn to him instead of forgetting about him. I am babbling a bit at the moment but guess my prayer is aaaaaaauuuuuuggggghhhhh! Please join in and say Amen.
